田中 悠宇吾［シタール奏者］
東京都出身。2008年よりヒマラヤのナーダヨギD.R.Parvatikal師とシタールの巨匠Pt.Arvind Parikh師の技術と精神性を受け継ぐシタール奏者Dr.Gopal Krishan Shah師に師事。師と共にリシケシ、ヴリンダーバンなど聖地を廻り北インド古典音楽を学ぶ。定期的に渡印し北インド古典音楽を追求しながらも、多数のエフェクターを使用したアプローチや、グリッチ、ピンクノイズ等の現代的音楽表現との実験的プロジェクト(Aprl : エイプリル)など、シタールの可能性を広げる活動を展開。
イタリアの楽器Azzam Bellsも使用する。
北インド古典音楽と枯山水などの庭園に共通する精神性を現代的に再解釈し空間芸術として再構築している。

Yugo Tanaka is the sitar player from Tokyo, and he has been learning North Indian classical music as a disciple of Dr. Gopal Krishan Shah since 2008.
He has been visiting sacred places like Rishikesh and Vrindavan with guru ji, now going to Delhi for learning.
The Life with guru ji which begins with a quiet morning fetching water and ends with a moonlit night of the sound of insects, is the source of the sound images in his expressions.
He is active in various fields such as the performances using numerous effecters, using the Azzam Bells which is an instrument of ltaly, the experimental project “Aprl” with glitch, pink noise, and other contemporary musical expressions, co-starring with visual arts as a video and dance, and participating in art festivals.
He always try to reinterpreted spirits of North Indian classical music and gardens, and trying to rebuild them as spatial arts.
